Page of Burlington, is critically ill at the Glenwood Park sanatorium here, where he had been staying for the past few months in ill health. PAGE One Of Burlington’s Most Prominent Physicians for Thirty Years is Dead Burlington, Aug. 13 - Funeral services were held in the Methodist Church here this afternoon for Dr. John W. Page, one of Burlington’s most prominent physicians for more than 30 years and one of the county’s best known citizens. Dr. Page had been in declining health for two years or more and had given up active practice. He spent a part of that time in Florida but had spent the past few months in a hospital in Greensboro, where he died yesterday morning. The body was brought here today and the funeral conducted by Rev. Dr. J.B. Hurley. A large assembly of friends attended the services. Dr. Page was 66 years of age. He was born in Randolph County but came to Alamance when he was 23 years old and had spent his life here except the past two years. He was the most favorably and widely known throughout this section. He is survived by his wife, and two daughters, Mrs. Henry Owsley, of Texas, and Miss Martha Page, a brother Peter Page and a sister, Mrs. Steed, of Steed, N.C.
