Raleigh Standard, 28 Sept. 1859
   DIED, in Alamance County, on the morning of the 14th inst., ALICE L., aged 
five years, and on the morning of the 15th, JOHN F., aged eight years and 
BENJ. F., aged three years and two months, all children of BENJAMIN F. and 
CORNELIA M. RONEY. The disease of which they died was pseudo membranous 
laryngitus. They were all buried in one grave. A more heartrending affliction 
could not have befallen the parents of these little ones.
