A. G. THOMPSON

   A.G. Thompson, 76, died at his home in Burlington, N.C., on Tuesday, January 
28 after a long illness.

   Mrs. Thompson owner of the Carolina Nurseries, was a nurseryman in 
Southampton County for a half a century. Through his business he won many 
friends throughout the county.

   He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Faith Thompson; two sons, Kent Thompson and 
A.G. Thompson, Jr.; and five grandchildren, all of Burlington.

   Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 2:30 at his home. Burial was in 
the Burlington cemetery.
