Alamance County, NC - Obituary of Inez White McDaniel, 1998 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mrs. Inez White McDaniel McDaniel, Mrs. Inez White - age 66, of 1610 F. Morningside Drive, Burlington, N.C., died at 12:15 a.m. Thursday, August 19, at her home suddenly of a heart attack. A native of Surry County, N.C. She was the wife of Ed McDaniel and the daugher of Mr. Gilbert White and Mrs. Minnie Davis White, both deceased. She was the former employee of Bur-Mill Outlet and was a certified nurses assistant with Home Health Care. She was a member of Faith Baptist Chapel. She lived for many years in Knoxville, Oliver Springs, and Oak Ridge, Tennessee; and had many friends in the East Tennessee and the surrounding areas. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Sharon Howe of Seymour, Tenn.; a son, Mr. Darrell Holt of Lebanon, Tenn.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Carolyn Starling of Graham, N.C., a stepson, Harold McDaniel of Gretna, Va.; four sisters, Mrs. Mattie Mae Durham and Mrs. Lorene Holyfield, both of Dobson, N.C.; Mrs. Ola Parks of La France, S.C.; and Mrs. Mary Ann Todd of Elkin, N.C.; three brohters, Mr. Adam White of Dobson, N.C.; Mr Herbert White of Elkin, N.C.; and Mr. Gilbert White, Jr., of Ashboro, N.C.; and five grandchildren, Stephanie Russell-Treece of Oliver Springs, Tn., Courtney Russell of Knoxville, Tn., Cynthia Holt of Nashville, Tn., Darrell Holt, Jr., and Dana Morgan of Lebenon, Tenn. Mrs. McDaniel was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Eva Stanley; a brother, Mr. William White; a son, Charles Adrian, and a daughter, Iva Marie. The funeral was held at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, August 22nd, 1998 by the Rev. Felton Massey, interim pastor of Faith Baptist Chapel, where she was a member. Burial took place in Oakwood Cemetery in Mebane, N.C. Pallbearers included: nephews, Danny Durham, Steven White, Ronald White, Jeffrey White, Garrett White, and Harold White. Many thanks to the nephews for serving as pallbearers.
