Wife of John Boone
b. 14 May 1760
d. 24 Jul 1819

Note: This photo of Anna Starnes' grave depicts two stones - an old stone at 
the foot of her grave (foreground) and a newly replaced stone at the head of 
her grave (background).  





Additional Comments:
The cemetery is on NC 81 in Freiden Village near Gibsonville, NC. There are 
many old graves here and they are in need of preservation. A large number of 
tombstones are unreadable. 

The tombstones for John Boone and his wives (including Anna Starnes) have  
recently been replaced. The older, original tombstones lie at the foot of the 
graves with the new stones at the head. 

Based on family research, it appears that John Boone's father was Jonathan 
Boone, the brother of famed woodsman, Daniel Boone.

This cemetery has many graves belonging to members of the Summers, Tickle, 
Kernodle, and Whitsett families.
