Wittnesseth: that the said William Cranford for & in consideration of Twenty five pounds Sterling to him in hand paid & secured to be paid by John Bush aforesaid the receipt whereof he the said William Cranford doth hereby acknowledge & of every part & parcel thereof doth hereby acquit exonerate & discharge the said John Bush his Heirs and assigns forever have given granted bargained and sold & by these presents doth fully & clearly & absolutely give grant bargain alien & sell all that part & parcel of Land lying & being in Chowan presence aforesaid begining at a white oake by the Side of the long meadow then No. 10d East two hundred & twenty pole to a pine, then No. 80d west one hundred & twenty pole to a red Oake in George Winn's line then south 10d went two hundred & two pole to a pine then south 80d west one hundred & twenty pole to the first station, containing one hundred & fifty Six acres of Land. To have and to hold the said Land bargained and sold as aforesaid unto the said John Bush his heirs & assigns forever with all the rights members & appurtenances thereof forever with all houses orchards Gardens nurseries clear ground woodland Ground water & water courses & all other liberties and priviledges therein & thereon contained & the said William Cranford & Katherine his wife for themselves their Heirs Exers and admns doe promise & warrant that at the ensealing & delivery hereof they have a good right full power & lawfull authority to bargain & sell the same unto the said John Bush his Heirs & assigns forever. And by these presents doth warrant the said premises bargained & sold as aforesaid to be & remain free from all claims & demands of the said William Cranford, Katherine his wife their Heirs Exers & admns or any other parson or persons whatsoever laying lawfull claim thereunto or any part or parcele thereof or that the said Land and premises now are & shoe shall 7 may forever hereafter remain continue & be unto the said John Bush his Heirs & assigns forever free & freely acquitted exonerated & discharged of & from any & all manner of former & other Gifts, Grants, Leases uses wills titles Judgments rents & arrearages of rents & all other Incumbrances of what nature & kind soe ever. & that the said John Bush his heirs & assigns shall & may from time to time & at all times hereafter peaceably & quietly have all use, occupie possess & enjoy the said Land & premises without the lett suite trouble deniale disturbance molestation Interuption or eviction of the said William Cranford & Katherine his wife their Heirs Exors & admns or any other person or persons whatsoever - laying Lawfull claim thereunto in any part or parsell thereof & for the acknowledgement of the same in the precinct Court of Chowan when the same thereunto reasonably required the said William Cranford & Katherine his wife binds themselves their Heirs Exors & admns firmly by these presents in the full sum of fifty pounds sterling of Great Brittian, in Wittness whereof the said William Cranford & Katherine his wife doth hereunto sett his hand & affixed their seals the day & year first within written.
