Maarbjerg In the Name of God Amen. I William Bush Senr. Of the Precinct of Chowan in the County of Albemarle in the Province of North Carolina beling very Sink and weak in Body but of Sound and Perfect Memory Thanks be given to Almighty God for the Same doe make Constitue appoint and Ordain this to be my last Will and Testament in Manner and Forme following that is to say My Soul I recommend into the hand of Almight God that gave it Nothing Doubting but trusting through the Merits of my blessed Redeemer to receive a joyfull Resurection at the Last Day. My body to be buried in such Christianlike manner as my Executors hereafter Named shall seem ..... and as Touching such Worldly Estate as it hath pleased Almighty God to bestow on me in this transitory world, I dispose of the same in manner and form following: First to my Eldest sonn William Bush Junr. I give and bequeath that Plantation whereon he now lives with all the Wood and Ground from Hetops(?) line down Wickacone Creek to the Mouth of Pasquotanck then by a strait line from there to a line that parts the South land and James Wilkeson's Land where he now lives, running along the side of the Knawing Pond Containing by Afirmation three hundred acres of land be the same more or less to him and his heirs for ever. To my youngest sonn John Bush I give and bequeath the Plantation whereon I now live with all the woodland ground between Abraham Blounts(?) where............ within land ..... given as above mentioned and my ............ (two lines missing?) give to my sonn John Bush to him and his heirs for ever. To my Daughter Mary Early I give and bequeath one Shilling to be paid out of any movable Estate. To my Daughter Martha Williamson I give and bequeath one Shilling to be paid out of my movable Estate. To my Daughter Rose Winn I give and bequeath one Shilling to be paid out of my movable estate. To my Daughter Elinore MackLendon I give & bequeath one Shilling to be paid out of my Movable Estate. To my youngest Daughter Elizabeth Bush I give & bequeath one Pewter Dish one pewter plate two Cows & Calves & one mair with their increase for ever. Lastly I constitute appoint and Ordain my dear and well beloved wife Martha Bush to be the whole and sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament and I Desire that the remaining part of my whole Movable Estate should be equally divided between my two sonns above mentioned at the Decease of my well beloved wife Martha Bush. Ratifieing [Ratifying] and Confirming this to be my last Will & Testament Utterly Revoking Renouncing and making voyd all former wills by me formerly made. In Witness whereof I have hereunto Sett my hand and Seale this fifth Day of Aprill in the year of Our Lord God One Thousand Seven hundred and Sixteen.
