Albemarle County in the province of North Carolina the last will and testament 
of Richard Rodes. I bequeath my Soull to God and my body to the earth from 
whence it came and as for my personal estate I will and bequeath to my well 
beloved wife Elizabeth Rodes leaving her my full and solle executrix and only. 
I bequeath to my ...... Elisabeth the best bed in the house with all furniture 
full belonging to it and ....... too pouter dishes and ............ 
child ............if coming of age they shall remaine with my wife and to her 
disposing as witness my hand and seal this twenty second day of March in the 
year of our Lord 1693.
