Albemarle November ye 12th 1684/5

In the Name of God Amen.  I William Wollward of this county of Albemarle and 
the province of Carolina Being of excellent (?)  health and of sound and 
perfect memory. Knowing ……of this Mortull Life that wee must all of us die ?) 
at the summons of the All mighty God do hereby make, appoynt  and ordane(?)  
this my last will and testament.

I bequeath my Soul unto the hands of Allmighty God my maker Hoping and  
Believing through the merritts of Jesus Christ my Redeemer… a full pardon and 
remission of all my sins.    My Body I commit to the Earth from whence it was 
taken, to be Decently Buried as my executors shall think fitt.  … for that 
Worldly Estate it hath Pleased God to Bestow upon mee in this Life.  My Lawful 
and Just Debts being first paid, I give and bequeath as followeth (viz):

I give and Bequeath after ye Death of my wife Sarrah Wollward my plantation 
unto Margrett Hollbrock (?) my grandchild and also one young heifer and her 
increase.

I give and Bequeath unto Sarah Wollward my wife my adjoining(?)  plantation 
During Life.  Also my stock… of hoggs, chattell, household goods whatsoever…………

I appoint Sarah Wollward my ffull executrix of this my last will and testament 
after my ...to....shall think fitt.  I doe also hereby appoint.... Edward Wade 
Grandson(?) under my first wife to see this my last will and testament....

Sett my hand Sealed this Day and year above written.
