Presiding pastor Elder Rowe came up on thhe train last Friday evening and remained. Rev. James Wilson was present and provided on service on Sunday................ four infants were babtized and ten joined the church on provision of faith. Sunday while the people were eating dinner, Rev Mr. Norton was quietly taken into the church and united Marcus Wilson Grant and Miss Mary Etta Ellis in the bonds of matrimony. They tried to keep it a secret but the church was crowded by the time the ceremony was over. The crowd behaved very well. Additional Comments: Mary Etta Ellis was the mother of Lou Arnette Grant who married Clarence Clayton "Jack" Payne. She was my great-grandmother on my fathers side of the family.
