Stony Point. Aug 28 - Special to Observer
The decomposed body of Mrs. Melissa Fox, age 79, widow of the late Noah Fox, was
found beside the spring branch at her home near Stony Point, August 25.  Mrs.
Fox, who lived alone, was last seen alive by Mr. W. Sherrill, a neighbor Tuesday
evening August 19, when she seemed in her usual health.  Packages brought from
the store the 19th still lying on the table, her clothing unchanged, and her cow
still tied in the same place as when Mr. Sherrill passed her home led to the
belief that she died soon after he left.  No inquest was held; the infirmities
of old age or heart failure being held as the cause of her death.  Mrs. Fox is
survived by two sons R.J. and C.S. Fox.
