She quietly and peacefully departed this life in the early morning of February 16, 2007. She attended Happly Plains School in Taylorsville, NC and the Teamers School of Religion in Charlotte, NC in 1974. She worked for years as a cook in the Taylorsville School System, mostly at the Taylorsville Elementary School. Sis Flowers was a lifelong member of Pleasant Home FBH church in Stony Point, NC, but she moved to Tennessee for a few years and atttended Mt. Moriah FBH Church in Knoxville, TN under the pastorship of Elder A. L. Rodgers. She was called into the ministry over forty years ago and loved preaching the Word of God. She was preceded in death by one daughter Nora James, two sons, Bobby Flowers and Lonnie Flowers, two sisters, Margie Lackey and Mable Lowe, three brothers, Rev. Harrison Flowers, Rev. Dewey "Bill" Flowers and Eubert Flowers, and one granddaughter, Kolisha Flowers of Wilkesboro, NC. She leaves to cherish loving memories, two daughters, Lona Gregory of Taylorsville, and Clara Phillips and husband Bob of Oliver Springs, TN; four sons, Robert Flowers and wife Jean, Larry Flowers and wife Lula, Earl Flowers and special Friend, Amy Childers, all of Taylorsville; Jay Flowers and wife Priscilla of Detroit MI. Twenty-two grandchildren; Thirty-eight great grandchildren, and seven great great-grand children; three daughters-in-law, Mrs. Doris Virgina Flowers, Shirley Flowers and Viola Flowers; one sister Thelma Lackey; one brother, Rayford Flowers of Scotts, NC; two very special friends, Amelia Meeks and Willie Mae Morrison of Knoxville, TN along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
