Mrs. Mabel "MawMaw" Flowers Lowe, 86 was born on February 26, 1912 to the late 
Lonnie John and Clara R. Boston Flowers. She was born in the Mineral Springs 
area of Alexander County, North Carolina. She was a lifelong resident of this 
County. In addition to her parents she was preceeded in death by parents, her 
husband Anthony Lowe, and three siblings Harrison and Eubert Flowers, and 
sister Margie Lackey.
She worked for many years at Lewittes Furniture and Modern Cleaners of 
Taylorsville, NC. She was a member of Pleasant Home FBH Church in Stony Point, 
NC. There she served as Assistant Pastor, Senior Mother, president of the 
Missionary Department, preschool Sunday School Teacher.
Survivors are her only child L.J. Lowe of Taylorsville and wife Vera Brown 
Flowers of Statesville, NC. Three grandchildren, Shonda Holmes and husband 
Greg of Lithonia, Georgia; Rhonda Corpening and husband Darryll of Troutman, 
NC; Mark Flowers and wife Tina of Raleigh, NC, Five great grandchilrdren Erica 
and JaColby Corpening; Gregorie and Jordan Holmes; and Mark Flowers Jr. Two 
Brothers: Raeford Flowers and wife Annie Mae of Scotts, NC; Rev Dewey (Bill) 
Flowers and wife Lillian of Taylorsville, NC. Two sisters Cora Bell Flowers 
and Thelma Lackey, both of Taylorsville, NC. A host of nieces, nephews, and 
other relatives and friends.
Funeral and Interment will be at Pleasant Home FBH Church and cemetery.
