The Landmark, [Statesville, Iredell County NC]; issue date 18 Aug 1896
Frank Millstead’s death occurred day before yesterday.  He had been suffering
for some time with a very painful and offensive ulcerous cancer.  See
Taylorsville, 14 Aug 1896.

Additional Comments:
Submitter’s note:  This Frank Millstead is John Franklin Milstead, the son of
Nancy Milstead and William Thomas Watts.  Frank was the brother of Milton
Lafayette Milstead.  Frank was born ca 1842 per the 1880 census and died 12
August 1896.

Of interest was information on Frank in The Landmark, issue date 05 May 1896:
Frank Millstead did not remain in Charlotte, [NC].  An operation was not
considered advisable by the physicians.  See Taylorsville, May 4, 1896
