The Landmark
Mrs. Lou Arnette Payne died July 2nd at her home in Alexander County, NC. She 
had been ill for several months. Her husband, Clarence Clayton "Jack" Payne 
survive her, including three sons, Willis Henry, Charlie Parks, and Clarence 
Brandon Payne.Mrs Payne was the daughter of Marcus Wilson Grant and Mary 
Etta Ellis Grant. Burial will be at New Salem Presbyterian Church where Mrs 
Payne was an active, life long member.
