Statesville Record and Landmark, June 18,2009
Funeral services for Johnny Parks Payne,Sr., 63, of Hartsville, S.C.  will be 
held at 2 p.m. at Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. J.C. Long 
will officiate. Mr. Payne died Wednesday,  June 17,2009, in Statesville, NC, a 
son of Paul Newton Payne and wife Lorene Wiles Payne. Mr.  Payne served in the 
United States Air Force. Surviving are his Nancy McDaniel Payne, of 
Hartsville, S.C.; son, Johnny Parks Payne, Jr., of Murrells Inlet, S.C.; step-
daughter, Ashley (William) Duke of Concord, NC; sister, Pamela Payne (Dennis) 
Stewart of Statesville; sister-in-law, Beverly (Frank) Cothran, of 
Charlotte,NC and three grandchildren and one nephew. Brown-Pennington-Atkins 
Funeral Home of Hartsville, S.C. are in charge of the funeral arrangements.
