The Landmark, [Statesville, Iredell County NC, Semi-Weekly newspaper; issue date
Friday 27 April 1900

There were three burials at Three Forks Baptist church Tuesday and Wednesday of
this week...Mrs. Tora Watts [was buried on] Wednesday [25 April 1900].

Mrs. Tora Watts died Tuesday [24 April] morning at her father’s Mr. J.M. Jones’,
three miles west of town.  She was the widow of Dr. Battle Watts, brother of
Clerk A.L. Watts.
