ILLNESS FATAL TO
MRS. LAURA JANE WIKE

 Mrs. Laura Jane Wike, 78, of Route Three, Taylorsville died at her home at 
1:00 o'clock Friday morning after an ilness of several months.
 Funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Salem Lutheran 
Church with Rev. E. H. Goltermann in charge.
 She is survived by four sons, Roby Wike of Taylorsville, Carl, Lawson and 
Spencer Wike, of Springfield, Illinois; three daughters, Mrs. Johnnie 
Harrington, Mrs. John Deal and Mrs. Walter Mitchell all of Route Three, 
Taylorsville; one sister, Mrs. Eli Daniels of Route Three, Taylorsville and 
one great great grandchild.

Additional Comments:
She was born on June 13, 1873, the Daughter of Miles Phillips(1848-1913) and 
Mary Jane Munday Phillips(1853-1939). She was preceeded in death by her 
husband Tillet Wike in 1950, Her daughter Hexie in 1915, her son Elmore in 
1923.
