Taylorsville, Nov. 5 - Miss Phia Matheson, the beautiful and accomplished 
daughter of A.H. Mateson, Esq., and Dr. R. Frank Stevenson were married last 
night at the residence of the bride's father by Rev. W.L. Tidball. The 
impressive ceremony was witnessed by a number of relatives and friends of the 
contracting parties. Miss Matheson belongs to one of the most influential 
families in the county, and possesses many graces of character besides great 
personal beauty. Dr. Stevenson is a native of Iredell county, but has adopted 
this as his home. Coming here about two years ago, fresh from college, he 
easily lead the profession in the practice of medicine, and has now the 
confidence and esteem of all with whom he has associated. Young and talented, 
he is destined to become one of the leading medical lights of the State. A 
host of friends wish for this promising young couple all the happiness life 
can bring.
