Dec. 13, 1838 by virtue of a land warrant number 7900 entered August 24, 1835 surveyed for John Spurling one hundred acres of land on the waters of Little River beginning at a hickory on a ridge running south with Ballows line 80 poles to a maple then east 100 poles to a beach then south 65 degrees east 38 poles to a poplar then east 56 poles to a white oak then north 14 poles to a black oak near a field on a ridge then north 30 degrees west ? hundred poles to a stake then south 50 degrees west 70 poles to a stake then to the first station.
