Land claim number 7900 dated Aug 24, 1835.. I, ??, taker of claims for land to 
the surveyors for sd county you are hereby required to survey according to law 
for John Spurling 100 acres of land on waters of Little River beginning on a 
hickory on a ridge in Leonard Ballows line on the east side running south with 
said line and various courses. 
Dec. 13, 1838 by virtue of a land warrant number 7900 entered August 24, 1835 
surveyed for John Spurling one hundred acres of land on the waters of Little 
River beginning at a hickory on a ridge running south with Ballows line 80 
poles to a maple then east 100 poles to a beach then south 65 degrees east 38 
poles to a poplar then east 56 poles to a white oak then north 14 poles to a 
black oak near a field on a ridge then north 30 degrees west ? hundred poles 
to a stake then south 50 degrees west 70 poles to a stake then to the first 
station. Chain carriers: William Tolliver and Charles Tolliver. Grant number 
2552 issued Dec. 31, 1838 , book number 145, page 447. 

Land claim: Aug. 24, 1835 entry number 7901. To the surveyors of said county, 
you are hereby required to survey according to law for John Spurling Jr. fifty 
acres of land on waters of Little River beginning at a chestnut oak 
Whitehead's corner Running with sd line then west to HENRY WAGGONERS LINE, 
then south with said line various courses. 
Dec. 13, 1838 by virtue of land warrant number 7901 entered Aug. 24, 1835, 
surveyed for John Spurling Jr. fifity acres of land on the waters of Little 
River beginning at a chestnut oak Whitehed's corner running north 104 poles 
with his line to a spansih oak Molly Hoppers corner then west with her line to 
a stake Waggoner's corner then south with his line 255 poles to a stake in 
said line then east 27 poles to a stake then north 10 poles to a stake then 
east 50 poles to a stake Hopper's line then north with his line 17 poles to a 
stake in the Waggoner line then west with said line 50 poles to a locust the 
Waggoner corner then to the first station. Chain carriers: William Tolliver 
and Charles Tolliver. Assigned grant number 2558, issued 4 Jan 1839 book 145, 
page 479.
