ALLEGHANY COUNTY, NC - WILLS AND ESTATES - Jacob A. Crouse Administrator Bond for Estate of Adam Crows (Crouse) ----¤¤¤¤---- Ashe County 1819-1935 Estates records, estate of Adam Crows: Transcribed by Carolyn Spence. Know all men by these presents that we Jacob A. Crouse and William Edwards are held and firmly bound unto the state of North Carolina in the sum of fifty dollars current money to be paid to the said state to the which payment will and truly to be made we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors, and administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents, sealed with our seals and dated this 23rd day of May A.D. 1843. The condition of this obligation is such that if the above bounded Jacob A. Crouse administrator of all and singular the goods and chattel rights and credits of Adam Crouse, deceased, do make or cause to be made a true and perfect inventory of all and singular goods the chattel rights and credits of the deceased which have or shall come to the hand, knowledge or possession of the said Jacob A. Crouse or into the hands or possession of any person or persons for him and the same so made do exhibit or cause to be exhibited into Ashe County within the time prescribed by law after the date of these presents and the said goods, chattel and credits and all other the goods, chattel and credits of the deceased at the time of his death on which at any time hereafter shall come into the hand or possession of the said Jacob A. Crouse, or into the hands or possession of any other person or persons for him do well and truly administrate according to the law and further do make or cause to be made a true and just account of his said administration agreeably to law after the date of these presents and all the rest and residue of the same goods, chattel and credits which shall be found remaining upon the said administrators account the same being first allowed by the governor and council superior or county court shall deliver and pay unto such person or persons respectfully a the same shall become due pursuant to the true intent and meaning of the act in that cause made and provided and if it shall appear that any Will or Testament was made by the deceased and the executor or executors therein named do exhibit the same in court making request to have it allowed and approved of accordingly if the said Jacob A. Crouse aboved bounded being thereunto required to render and deliver the said letter or documentation offer ? of such document being just has and made in the said court then this obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in force and virtue.
