Estate of John Crouse, born 1824 died 1858.
Husband of Christina Waggoner Crouse.

May 24, 1858 Ashe Co.
Know all men by these presents that Richard Edwards, Thornton Jennings and 
Ezekial Joines are held and firmly bound unto the State of North Carolina in 
the sum of two thousand dollars. The condition of the above obligation is such 
that if the bounden Richard Edwards administrate or with the Will execute of 
all and singular the goods, chattel, rights and credits of JOHN KROWS, 
deceased.........., etc., ( a standard preprinted form).

*note John Crouse left a Will giving everything to his wife Christina, and in 
it asked Richard Edwards to sell a wagon to pay his debts. Richard held a sale 
and reported the following:

A list of notes found in possesson of the deceased to wit:
One note on Ezekial Joines for 50 dollars dated Nov. 15, 1857 and one note on 
Ezekial Joines for 10 dollars dated Nov. 15, 1857.

I hereby certify that the foregoing list contains a true account of all the 
property and notes which came into my hands as administrator of the estate of 
John Crouse dec., this 14th day of August, 1858.
