Transcribed by Carolyn Spence. 29 July or January 1867 A.J. (Jackson) Spurlin appointed Administrator for 2 deceased individuals: Solomon Crouse and Jacob A. Crouse. Bondsmen were Stephen Landreth and James Dillard. Each estate bond was $400.00 7 Feb 1898 C.F. Edwards appointed Guardian of Martha " Maggie" Cockerham, minor daughter of Stokes Cockerham & Jane Willey Cockerham. Final settlement 24 Jan 1902: to account rec'd from J.L. Joines: the heirs of Stokes Cockerham and said Joines having made an agreement by which Joines was to furnish money to pay debts. Disbursements: to J.R. Lewallen, J. H. Thompson, F.J. Thompson, J. N. Edwards, J.L. Joines, and tax receipts paid to Bryan Township, Surry Co NC. 23 Oct 1866 George Reeves appointed Administrator of the estate of Sampson H. Wolfe. Bondsmen were Cloyd Cox and Caleb Osborne. Bond amount was $100.00. Sold at sale: one set of carpenter's tools for 31.00, one complete set of instruments for taking ( word is hard to decipher... looks like deguarotypes... I think they meant dauerrogotypes (sic) as in camera that takes pictures) sold for $ 25.00, one box $1.13, one trunk $2.00, and one glass cup 10 cents. Total $ 59.23.....( Note the only Sampson H. Wolfe I am aware of was a Sampson Wolfe who appeared in the Grayson County census as a boy in 1850.) 30 July 1862 Levi Fender appointed Administrator of Henry Crouse estate.
