V. S. GARRETT & Co.
     vs.
FRANK DUMAS

Orginial Attachment Levied on a Negro boy by the name of SAM

In this case, it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that FRANK DUMAS 
is a non-resident of this State, it is therefore ordered by the Court that 
publication be made for six successive weeks in the North Carolina Argus, a 
newspaper published in the town of Fayettevillek notifying said non-resident 
to be and appear at our next Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions to be held for 
the County of Anson in the Court House at Wadesboro on the 2nd Monday in April 
next. Then and there to plead, answer or demur to this petition filed. 
Otherwise judgment will be taken pro confesso and heard ex parte as to him.
Witness JOSEPH WHITE, Clerk of the said Court at office in Wadesboro on the 
2nd Monday in January A.D. 1856.
