 Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions July Term 1849

HAMPTON B. HAMMOND and others
           vs.
MORRIS MOORE and others
Petition for Partition of Slaves

   In this cause it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that MORRIS 
MOORE, LAWRENCE MOORE and CORNELIUS MOORE, three of the defendants, reside 
beyond the limit of this State: It is therefore ordered that publication be 
made in the North Carolina "Argus," notifying the said MORRIS MOORE, LAWRENCE 
MOORE, and CORNELIUS MOORE to be and appear at the next term of this Court at 
the Wadesborough Court House or this cause will be heard ex parte and judgment 
will be taken pro confesso as to them.
  Witness, NORFLEET D. BOGGAN, Clerk of the sd Court at office, the second 
Monday in July, A. D. 1849.
