GRIFFIN HASTY, Adm'r. of MELVIN CLENNY and MATHILDA, his wife, and MURPHEY 
CLENNY
                              vs.

JOSEPH CLENNY, BENJAMIN CLENNY, HARKEN CLENNY et al

Petition to Make Real Estate Assets

In this case, it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that JOSEPH 
CLENNY, BENJAMIN CLENNY, HARKIN CLENNY, MARTHA J. SCOTT and MATILDA J., 
NARCISSA E., THOMAS J., WILLIAM H. JESSE F., JOSEPH N. and MARGARET CAUDEL, 
defendants, are not residents of this State. It is therefore ordered by the 
Court that publication be made for six successive weeks in the North Carolina 
Argus, published at Wadesboro, notifying said non-resident defendants to be 
and appear at our next Court to be held for the County of Anson at the Court 
House at Wadesboro, on the 2nd Monday in October. Then and there to plead, 
answer or demur to this petition filed. Otherwise judgment will be taken pro 
confesso and the matter heard ex parte as to them. Witness, PATRICK J. 
COPPEDGE, Clerk of the said Court at Office on the 11th day of July, 1861.
