STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA  COURT OF PLEAS & QUARTER SESSIONS       ANSON COUNTY
January Term 1859

WALTER B. LEAK and JAMES A. LEAK, Executors of ANN LEAK
                      vs.
JOHN W. LEAK, WILLIAM C. LEAK et al

Petition for Settlement

In this case, it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that MARY STEELE, 
EUGENE STEELE AND WILLIAM STEELE are not residents of this State. It is 
therefore, ordered by the Court that publication be made for six successive 
weeks in the North Carolina Argus, published in the town of Wadesboro, 
notifying said non-resident defendants, to be and appear at our next Court of 
Pleas  & Quarter Sessions to be held for the County of Anson in the Court 
House at Wadesboro on the second Monday in April next: then and there to 
plead, answer or demur to this petition filed. Otherwise judgment will be 
taken pro confesso and the matter heard ex parte as to them. Witness PATRICK 
J. COPPEDGE, Clerk of the said Court at office on the second Monday in 
January, A. D. 1859.
