   VS.

GRIFFIN GATEWOOD, THOMAS GATEWOOD, DANIEL GATEWOOD, BURWELL GATEWOOD, WILLIAM
GATEWOOD and others

PETITION FOR PARTITION OF LAND

   In this case, it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the 
defendants GRIFFIN GATEWOOD, THOMAS GATEWOOD, DANIEL GATEWOOD, BURWELL 
GATEWOOD, WILLIAM GATEWOOD and others reside beyond the limits of this State: 
It is therefore ordered by the Court that publication be made for six 
successive weeks in the North Carolina "Argus" notifying said defendants, non-
residents, to be and appear at our next Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions to 
be held at the Court House in Wadesborough on the second Monday in January 
next. Then and there to plead, answer or demur to this petition filed: 
Otherwise judgment will be taken pro confesson and made ex parte as to them.
Witness, NORFLEET D. BOGGAN, Clerk of said Court at office on the second 
Monday in October A. D. 1848, in the 73rd year of American Independence.
