ELIJAH RATCLIFF and wife, and others

              vs.

HENRY B. JERNIGAN, the heir at law of SAMUEL JERNIGAN JR., deceased, ISAAC 
JERNIGAN, CLEMENT JERNIGAN, JOHN CLARK and wife, VANILLA, JAMES EVERETT and 
wife, JUDITH, JOSEPH M. TERRY and wife, MARGERY.

Petition for Partition of Land

   In this cause, it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the 
defendants HENRY B. JERNIGAN, the heir at law of SAMUEL JERNIGAN JR., 
deceased, ISAAC JERNIGAN, CLEMENT JERNIGAN, JOHN CLARK and wife, VANILLA, 
JAMES EVERETT and wife, JUDITH, JOSEPH M. TERRY and wife, MARGERY no longer 
live within the limits of this State: It is therefore ordered by the Court 
that publication be made for six successive weeks in the North 
Carolina "Argus" notifying said defendants to be and appear at the next Term 
of the Worshipful Court to be held for the County of Anson at the Court House 
in Wadesborough on the second Monday in October next, then and there to plead 
answer or demur to the plaintiff's petition filed. Otherwise, judgment will be 
taken pro confesson and made ex parte as to them.
   Witness NORFLEET D. BOGGAN, Clerk of our said Court at office in 
Wadesborough the second Monday of July 1851, and in the 76th year of American 
Independence.
