March term, 1787-James Gillespie returned his warrant, the No. of defaulters as followeth: Samuel Thomas, self 3 days Tri Thomas, self 2 days PHILEMON THOMAS 2 days Thursday, Sept. 6, 1787-PHILEMON THOMAS appeared in open court and acknowledged a deed to Will Coward for 132 acres which was ordered to be recorded. Wednesday, March 9th, 1791-PHILEMON THOMAS, vs. executors of William Hardwick. Judgement by default for amount of bond being 23 pounds sterling, 6 shillings, 1 pence, with interest. As a judgement has been obtained against William Coward for the same debt which last judgement, when satisfied, shall be a full discharge of this.
