To the Sheriff Anson County  ________   Greeting
 
You are hereby commanded to Summon 
W. S. OSBOURNE & LEWIS A. TURNER 
_______________________________________
 
personally to be and appear before the Judge of the Superior Court County and 
at the next Court to be held for the County of Anson at the Court House in 
Monroe on the 8th (sic) Monday after the last Monday of Feby the truth then 
and there to testify and the truth to say in behalf of Def. JOHN ELLIOTT in a 
certain matter of controversy before said Court depending then and there to be 
tried wherein the state, Plaintiff and JOHN ELLIOTT & other Defendants and 
this you shall in nowise omit under the penalty proscribed by Law 
 
Witness.

Feby. and in the 90th year of our Independence. AD 1866
