            vs.
JANE WOMBLE  et al

Petition for Settlement

In this case, it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that HENRY J. 
WOMBLE, ---- WOMBLE, ----- WOMBLE, BRYANT WOMBLE, WILLIAM R. EDGEWORTH and 
wife, JANE, MARY WIMBERLY, JAMES KNIGHT and wife, SUSANNAH are not residents 
of this State. It is therefore ordered by the Court that publication be made 
in the North Carolina Argus, a newspaper published at Wadesboro, notifying 
HENRY J. WOMBLE, ---- WOMBLE, ----- WOMBLE, BRYANT WOMBLE, WILLIAM R. 
EDGEWORTH and wife, JANE, MARY WIMBERLY, JAMES KNIGHT and wife, SUSANNAH, non-
residents, to be and appear at the next Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions to 
be held for the County of Anson at the Court House in Wadesboro. Then and 
there to plead, answer or demur to this petition filed. Otherwide judgment 
will be taken pro confesso and the matter will be heard ex parte as to them.

October A. D. 1858.
