Creek now known by the name of Fergusons Creek, beginning at a hickory joining Jas. Russells land running thence No 70 E 63 1/2 chains to a hick & thence No 20 W 50 chains to a Red? Oak thence So 70 W 63 1/2 chains to a Hick thence So 20 E 50 chains to the beginning originally granted the 23 of Oct 1756 to Robert Russell by Government Arthur Dobbs at the 21 ? 41 ? hundred acres and by said Russell conveyed to the ? Certified by David Brewton by deed of Release bearing date the 23 of Aug 1769 but by a late ? of the boundary line between No & So Carolina the above tract of land falls within the providence of So Carolina in Craven County therefore the mem requires this his mem may be entered in this deed Government office of this providence.
