STATE OF NO. CAROLINA, ANSON COUNTY, October the 4th 1821. This day sold to 
OLIVER COPPEDGE one negro girl named Chain about the age of 10 years for the 
sum of two hundred and seventy five dollars I do warrant the above negro to be 
sound and clear from all incumbrances given under my hand the day above 
mentioned

Anson January 1822 Then the above Bill of Sale was proved in open Court and 
ordered to be registered.
