Deed Bk Z, p. 170. JOHN ELLIOTT TO ISAAC ELLIOTT - 12 Feb. 1829 This indenture made this 12th day of February in the Year of our Lord 1829 by and between JOHN ELLIOTT of Anson County and state of North Carolina of the one part and ISAAC ELLIOTT of the county and state aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the aforesaid JOHN ELLIOTT in consideration of good will and affection and divers other good causes the receipt whereof the said JOHN ELLIOTT doth hereby acknowledge. Have given, granted and made over unto the aforesaid ISAAC ELLIOTT, his heirs and assigns forever a certain piece or parcel of land situate lying and being in Anson County aforesaid on the waters of Lanes Creek on both sides of Wicker's Branch containing one hundred and thirty acres be the same more or less and bounded as follows: Beginning at a sweet gum by and spring and ns Wt. 31 chains and 75 links crossing said creek to a stake; then 31 chains and 75 links to a line of a piece of land that JOHN ELLIOTT purchased of PETER PARKER then along said line of to a hickory the beginning corner of said piece of land then North course to a red oak on Wicker's Branch JOHN OZBURN'S corner then down the various courses of said Branch until it strikes the old line of the 100 acre tract then East passing the old corner to a water oak in a drain then down the various courses of the said drain to a forked Spanish oak at the mouth of the drain, then to the beginning. To have and to hold the aforesaid 130 acres of land and all and singular the rights, benefits, privileges improvements and appurtenances to the same belonging unto the aforesaid ISAAC ELLIOTT his heirs, Exrs., adms. and assigns forever and JOHN ELLIOTT doth by these present warrants and will forever defend the just right and title of him, his heirs, etc. in the aforesaid land and promises unto the said ISAAC ELLIOTT his heirs and assigns forever and from all manner of incumbrances whatsoever. In witness whereof the said JOHN ELLIOTT hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year above written. Signed, sealed and delivered.
