KNOW ye that we have granted unto JOHN ELLIOTT one hundred acres of land in 
Anson County joining G.W. MAY and WM. H. BENTON'S lands on the waters of Negro 
Head Creek Beginning at a stake by three pines near the Camden Road, D. WEBB'S 
corner and runs South thirty five West Fifty three chains to a stake then 
South twenty four East sixteen chains then South seventy five East sixteen 
chains then North nineteen East twenty six chains to a stake then South 
seventy five East twenty nine chains then north thirty nine East twenty nine 
chains then north thirty nine East twenty six chains to a stake in WEBBS line 
then with it South forty three East four chains and thirty seven links to his 
corner hickory by two red oaks then with G.W. MAY'S line South thirty nine 
West twenty chains to his corner red oak and pine, then North seventy five 
West twenty eight chains to Keel's corner then with his line south nineteen 
West twenty six chains to his other corner, then North seventy five West 
twenty two chains and fifty links to a pine WM. BENTON'S corner, then with his 
line North twenty four West eighteen chains, then with his other line North 
thirty seven chains and fifty links to a dead post oak by two post oaks then 
North sixty East thirty chains and fifty links to a stake in the Camden sd. 
BENTON'S corner then to the Beginning Entered the 14th of April 1835 To Hold 
to the said JOHN ELLIOTT his heirs and assigns forever. Dated the 14th of 
February 1837.
