THIS INDENTURE made this 2nd of June in the year 1837 between JOHN ELLIOTT of 
the one part and DAVID WEBB of the other all of the State of North Carolina 
and County of Anson. Witnesseth that for & in consideration of the sum of one 
dollar to him in hand paid by the said WEBB the Receipt whereof is hereby 
acknowledged hath given granted bargained & sold to said WEBB a certain tract 
of land on Negrohead Creek Beginning at a stake by three pines near the Camden 
Road, D. WEBB'S corner and runs South thirty five West Fifty three chains to a 
stake then South twenty four East sixteen chains then South seventy five East 
sixteen chains then North nineteen East twenty six chains to a stake then 
South seventy five East twenty nine chains then north thirty nine East twenty 
nine chains then north thirty nine East twenty six chains to a stake in WEBBS 
line then with it South forty three East four chains and thirty seven links to 
his corner hickory by two red oaks then with G.W. MAY'S line South thirty nine 
West twenty chains to his corner red oak and pine, then North seventy five 
West twenty eight chains to KEEL's corner then with his line south nineteen 
West twenty six chains to his other corner, then North seventy five West 
twenty two chains and fifty links to a pine WM. BENTON'S corner, then with his 
line North twenty four West eighteen chains, then with his other line North 
thirty seven chains and fifty links to a dead post oak by two post oaks then 
North sixty East thirty chains and fifty links to a stake in the Camden sd. 
BENTON'S corner then to the Beginning containing one hundred acres and all 
houses, ways waters & profits to the said land belonging to have and to hold 
to the said WEBB his heirs & assigns forever. I, the sd. ELLIOTT doth by these 
present do on my part covenant and grant unto the sd. WEBB all my right, title 
& interest to the above described land to the sd. Webb him and his heirs 
forever In Witness whereof I have set my hand & Seal
