KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that I STEPHEN HASTY of the State of North 
Carolina and Anson County for and in consideration of the sum of forty nine 
dollars & forty six cents to me in hand paid by JOHN McCOLLUM of the State and 
County aforesaid the receipt whereof I do acknowledge have bargained sold & 
quit claimed and by these presents do bargain sell & quitclaim unto the said 
JOHN McCOLLUM his heirs and assigns forever all my right title interest and 
demand from me my heirs and assigns forever of in and to all that tract of 
land and no further of in and to all that tract of land _______situate in the 
County and State aforesaid lying on the waters of the Beaver Dam Creek 
adjoining Wm. BENTON'S land, DEBERRY STEWART'S, JACKSON STEWART'S, CHARLES 
STEWART'S, LUKE BENTLEY'S patented by NICHOLAS NORCAT of the one part and 
HENRY JAMES of the other part and WILLIAM PEARCE of the other part containing 
four hundred acres and all houses ways waters hereditaments & appurtenances 
thereunto belonging. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal 
the 4th day of March 1824.
