    THIS INDENTURE Made this thirteenth day of April in the year of our Lord 
one thousand seven hundred and Ninety five Between ELISHA HEAD of the County 
of Anson and State of North Carolina of the one part and ZACHEUS COLLINGS of 
the County & state aforesaid of the other Part Witnesseth that for and in 
consideration of the sum of Fifty Pounds North Carolina currency to me in hand 
paid by sd. ZACHEUS COLLINGS before the ensealing and Delivery hereof the 
Receipt hereof is hereby Acknowledged hath given & granted and bargained and 
sold & by  these presents do give grant alien enfeoff Convey & Confirm unto 
the sd. ZACHEUS COLLINGS his heirs and assigns forever all that Tract or 
parcel of land lying and being in the County and state afsd. on both sides of 
Cribbs Creek Beginning at a pine in WILLIAM MORRIS line& runing So. 12 Wt. 35 
Chains & 60 links crossing of said Creek  to two pines & a red oak then No. 78 
West 28 Chains & 60 links crossing of said creek to two pine then No. 12 East 
35 chains to a stake Between a pine and a Red oak then So. 78 East 28 Chains 
and 60 Links to the Beginning Containing one hundred acres of land granted to 
SAMPSON HEAD patent dated 3rd of Sept. 1779 Together with all woods ways water 
and water Courses mines mineral Hereditaments and appurtenances to the same  
Tract of land belonging him the said ZACHEUS COLLINGS his heirs and assigns 
forever and the said ELISHA HEAD Doth for himself his heirs Executors admrs. & 
assigns Doth promise to warrant and Defend  the above Mentioned Tract of Land 
and premises and every part and parcel thereof free from all Lawful claims or 
demands of any person or peersons whatsoever untohim the said ZACHEUS COLLINGS 
his heirs Executors Adminstrators & assigns according to the true Intent and 
meaning ofthese presents In Witness whereof the said ELISHA HEAD  hath 
hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above written

NATHAN MORRIS a witness thereto and ordered to be Registered
Test. WM. JOHNSON, Clk.


(Note:ZACHEUS COLLINS (B. 1743) EMIGRATED to the U.S. during the Revolutionary 
War. He married ANNA HEAD and they had (among possible others) (1) ZACHEUS 
COLLINS JR. b. 1773. He married (1) ELIZABETH SHARP and 2) MRS. WALDEN 
        (2) WILLIAM H. COLLINS b. 1775 who moved to Ill. 
        (3) WINNY COLLINS  (B. 1779) who married THOMAS ROGERS.)
