12 Oct. 1779 Sampson Hough to Amos Hough, both of Anson, N.C. 100 acres on 
Lanes Creek for 100 pounds. Beginning at a pine by a great rock West side of a 
hill and south side of Lane's Creek and runs thence S. 60 W. 127 poles to a 
stake then N. 30 W. 127 poles then N. 20 W. 127 poles then S. 30 E 127 poles 
to the Beginning.
