STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA, ANSON COUNTY: KNOW ALL men by these presents that I 
MASTEN LONG of the State and County aforesaid do in consideration of the sum 
of Forty Five dollars and Fifty cents to me in hand paid by JONATHAN WILSON of 
same place payment is hereby acknowledged himself satisfied hath granted 
bargained & sold & released and by these presents do grant bargain sell & 
forever release unto the sd. WILSON all that tract or parcel of land lying & 
being in the State & County aforesaid on SMITH'S Creek bounded as follows 
Beginning at a stake in sd. WILSON'S Line and runs S. 70W. 61 poles to a stake 
on the band of the Creek then So. 36 W. with the various courses of the Creek 
45 poles to a poplar about 30 feet below a mill seat then S. 15W. 10 poles to 
an old stump than S. 62 E. 17 poles to WILSON'S corner then N. 42 E. 69 poles 
to a white oak bush then N. 73 E. 33 poles to a red oak then N. 20 W. 21 poles 
to the beginning containing 13 acres be the same more or less together with 
all and singular the premises before mentioned unto the sd. Wilson his heirs 
Exers. Admrs. and assigns and I the said MASTEN LONG do by these presents bind 
myself my heirs Exers & admrs. and assigns unto the sd. JONATHAN WILSON his 
heirs Exers. Admrs. & assigns to warrant and defend the aforesd land from any 
person or persons lawfully claiming the same or any part thereof. In witness 
whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 11th day of Decr. A.D. 1835.

ANSON COUNTY JANUARY SESSIONS 1841. Then this deal was duly acknowledged in 
open Court and ordered to be registered.
