TO ALL TO WHOM these presents may come greeting I EBENEZER MARSH of the State 
of North Carolina and County of Anson for and in consideration of the Love and 
Good will which I do bear my obedient and kind son in law SAMUEL PURKINS of 
the State and County aforesd. have given and granted by these presents do 
freely give and grant unto the sd. SAMUEL PURKINS his heirs Exrs. or admrs. a 
certain parcel of land in the State and County aforesaid where the sd. PURKINS 
now lives Beginning at a forked pine near a cross path it being a corner of a 
hundred acres survey granted to the sd. EBENEZER MARSH and runs with Sd. Line 
South 14 degrees crossing the Lick branch to the corner of the Sd. tract 
thence No. 59 Wt. 13 chains to a pine then 5 chains to a post oak a corner of 
150 acres survey granted to WILLIAM NELSON thence with NELSON'S line No. 75 
Et. 110 poles to a spanish oak thence with Sd. line No. till it crosses the 
Sd. Lick branch and as much further as it may require to contain one hundred 
and fifty acres running a strait course to the Beginning To Have and To hold 
or to dispose of and I the said EBENEZER MARSH do hereby freely give unto the 
sd. SAMUEL PURKINS his heirs and assigns all the above mentioned land and 
premises belonging or anywise appertaining thereunto. In Witness thereof I 
have set my hand and seal this 9th day of May 1807.
