WHEREAS by virtue of an execution issuing from the County Court of Anson at the instant of JOHN INGRAM to the use of JOHN DARGAN against RICHARD ELLIOT and NICHOLAS FOLK as on record of sd. Court may appear for the sum of forty six dollars with cost thereon one dollar twelve and half cents and whereas the sd. execution was directed and delivered to sd A. MYERS, Shff. commanding him that of the goods and chattels lands & tenements of them the sd. ELLIOT & NICHOLAS FAULK he should cause to be made the aforesaid sum of forty six dollars with the cost thereon to satisfy the sd. execution and the sd. A. MYERS Sheriff in pursuance and by virture of his office and the aforesd/ execution did seize take into his hands and possession (no goods and chattels to be found) a certain piece or parcel of land the property of sd. NICHOLAS FAULK situate lying and being in the County of Anson on both side of Beaver Dam bounded as follows Beginning at a stake by a black jack & red oak pointers & runs So. 72 Wt. 120 poles to a stake by three pines then No. 70 Wt. 120 poles to a red oak then No. 170 poles to a hickory by a hickory & pine then Et. 320 poles to the beginning Also another parcel of land lying on the No. side of the sd. Beaver Dam on both sides of Camden Rd. bounded by SOLOMON TRULL'S Line and JOSEPH SMITH'S & STEPHEN HASTY and the Beaver Dam Creek to be the line between the sd. HASTY & SMITH the two parcels of land to contain four hundred and fifty acres more or less Also another tract of land Beginning at ROSS'S corner a pine and runs ET. 40 poles to a stake by a black jack and red oak then No. 34 poles to a stake by a post oak in SMITH'S line then with his line No. 80 Wt. 32 poles to a stake by two pines and post oak then So. 100 poles to a stake then to the beginning containing one hundred acres more or less & the sd. ABSALOM MYERS Shff. after due advertising according did cause to sd piece or parcel of land with the appurtenances thereunto belonging to be put up to public sale at the Court House in Wadesborough on the 10th of April 1826 at which time and place the sd. HENRY VERHINE became the last and highest bidder for sd. lands for the sum of fiifteen dollars (15) for the sd land with the appurtenances thereunto belonging. THIS INDENTURE THEREFORE WITNESSETH that the sd. Sheriff as aforesd for and in consideration of the sum of fifteen dollars in hand jpaid by the sd. H. VERHINE and before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt is hereby acknowledged he the sd. A. Myers Sheriff doth hereby bargain sell alien and enfeoff convey and confirm to him the sd. H. VERHINE his heirs exers. admrs. and assigns forever all the aforesd land and tenements and every appurtenance part and parcel thereof in any wise belonging To have and to hold to him the sd. H. VERHINE his heirs exers. admrs. & assigns forever in as full and ample a manner as he the sd. Sheriff is empowered by virture of his office and no further. In witness whereof the sd A.
