The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net ***************************************************************************** The following is a transcription from Anson Co, NC, Deed Book U, pg 407 A, 1/20/1823: 407 A William Nash To John Elliott To all to whom these presents shall come greeting Know ye that I William Nash attorney for John Pearce both of Henry County State of Tennessee Know ye that I William Nash hath bargained and sold for the consideration of the sum of one hundred and thirty dollars unto John Elliott of the County of Anson and State of North Carolina a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of Anson State of No. Carolina Beginning at a post oak on the Beaver Dam Branch of Lanes Creek and runs So. 75 Wt. 80 poles crossing the Cedar Creek to a post oak Thence No. 11 Wt. 100 poles to a stake Thence No. 75 E. 80 poles to a stake Then So. 11 E. 100 poles to the beginning Also one other tract beginning at a post oak the beginnings of his old survey and runs No. 11 Wt. 10 chas. to post oak Thence No. 85 E. 10 chas. to a stake three red oaks pointers Thence So. 20 Et. 20 chas. to a hickory two hickories pointers Thence So. 46 chas. to a stake Thence No. 55 E. 20 chas. to a stake in his old line. Then with said line So. 75 Wt. 10 chs. to his old corner Thence with his other line So. 11 E. 25 chains to his other corner Thence to the beginning containing 150 acres more or less and I the said Wm.
