Laid down at a scale of 20 chains to an inch. “This plot represents 200 acres of land in Anson County on the north or main prong of Cartledge’s Creek, northeast of Pedee River, beginning at a stake by a white oak in his own line on the lower side of the prong, and running thence north 78 east 8 chains and 40 links to a white oak said to be William Stately Shurley’s corner then as his north 15 east 50 chains then as his other line south 75 east 40 chains, then north 15 east 25 chains, then north 75 west 58 chains and 70 links, then south 6 west 79 chains and 50 links to the beginning.
