Laid down at a scale of 20 chains to an inch. “This plot represents 200 acres of land in Anson County on the lower side of Hitchcock’s Creek, beginning at a white oak by a dogwood on the hills near the creek about 200 yards above the mouth of Rocky Run and ¼ mile above the Rocky Fork and running thence south 60 west 44 chains and 73 links to a stake by a ?pine, then south 30 east 44 chains and 73 links to a stake among 4 scrub oaks, then north 60 east 44 chains and 73 links to a stake among 4 pines then direct to the beginning. Surveyed for PHILEMON THOMAS 14th of March, 1770.
