PATTISHALL THIS INDENTURE made between Richard C. Pattishall of the County of Anson and State of No. Carolina of the one part and James Swanner of the County and State aforesd. Of the other part Witnesseth that the sd. Richard C. Patterson for the sum of three hundred dollars to hand in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and humself fully satisfied and by these presents do give grant bargain sell alien confirm & deliver unto the sd. James Swanner his heirs and assigns forever one certain tract or parcel of land being in sd. County of Anson on the middle prong of Jones Creek Beginning on a maple & Sassafras standing on the north bank of said Jones’s Creek and runs north fourteen & half West 146 poles a dividing line to a stake in Chiles’s line then with & beyond his line east two hundred poles to red oak in Moores line then with his line South fifty nine west one hundred & eighteen poles to his corner stake then with said line South 31 Et. Fifty poles to a post oak Huntleys corner then with his line West thirty poles to a white oak on the bank of Chiles’s Branch then down the said run of the sd. Branch to a sweet gum on the bank of Jones Creek at the mouth of said Branch then up the run of sd. Creek meanders to the beginning containing ninety acres more or less with all and singular the rights hereditaments thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining To have and to hold the sd. Bargained premises to the only proper use of him the sd. James Swanner his heirs and assigns forever and that the sd. Richard C. Pattishall his heirs & assigns do covenant and agree to warrant and forever defend the sd. Land and premises against the lawfull claim or claims of my person or persons whomsoever.
