TO JAMES SWANNER This Indenture made this 20th of March1821 Between Robert Huntley, Junior of the state of No. Carolina and county of Anson farmer of the one part & James Swanner of the state and county aforesd. Farmer. Robert Huntley Jun. For and in consideration of the sum of four hundred dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge do hereby give grant sell and convey to the sd. James Swanner his heirs & assigns a certain tract or parcel of land containing two hundred and fourteen acres and bounded as follows. Beginning at a stake Lewis’es corner and "Branch Maple water".. To have and to hold said land & premises to him the sd James Swanner his heirs Exers admrs & assigns forever and the sd Robert Huntley doth furthermore doth covenant and agree for himself any heirs Executors & Admis. & C. to warrant & defend the title of sd. Land & premises except ten acres taken by Thomas Geddys land which I do not warrant. All the resedice of said land I warrant and defend against lawfull claim or title of any person or persons whatever. As witness my hand and seal the day and date above written.
