THIS INDENTURE made in the year of our Lord 1812 between SARAH ROGERS of the 
County of Anson & State of North Carolina of the one part and JESSEE ROGERS of 
the other part WITNESSETH that the said SARAH ROGERS for and in consideration 
of sum of 100 dollars to in hand paid by the Sd. JESSEE ROGERS the receipt 
whereof  the said SARAH ROGERS doth hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained 
aliened and confirmed unto the Sd.    JESSEE ROGERS his heir and assigns a 
tract of land lying and being in the County of Anson beginning at a post oak 
in HUNPHREY HIGGS line on  the side of Flag Branch a pine and two post oaks 
and runs So. 50 Et. 41 chains & 50 links to a black oak by 2 hickories & a 
post oak then So. 84 25 chains to a pine sapling by 3 black jacks & 2 post 
oaks thence No. 15 Wt. 41 chains & 50 links to a stake by 2 black jacks & a 
pine thence  No. 84 Wt. 25 chains to the beginning containing 100 acres as by 
the plat hereunto annexed doth appear, together with all woods waters mines 
mineral hereditaments & appurtenances to said land belong or appertaining to 
hold to the sd. JESSEE  ROGERS his heirs and assigns forever and SARAH ROGERS 
his heirs & assigns will warrant and defend against the lawful claim of any 
person or persons whatsoever. In witness whereof she hath hereunto set her 
hand and seal in the presence of us this 21st day of August 1812.
