STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA                    ANSON COUNTY                
Know all men by these presents that
I ISAAC SHEPPERD of the County and State aforesaid in consideration of the sum 
of Six hundred Dollars in hand paid by HARDY HARTON Have Granted Bargained 
Sold and Released unto the said HARDY HARTON a certain tract or parcel of Land 
Lying and being in the County and State aforesaid on both sides of Lanes Creek 
Beginning and Running as follows (to wit.) Beginning at a red oak near his old 
Line and Running No. 53 chains to a white oak then East  35 chains & 75 links 
to a red oak  then So. 53 Chains crossing sd. Creek to a stake then wt. 37 
chains 75 chains Crossing sd. Creek to a stake then wt. 37 chains 75 chains 
Crossing sd. Creek to the Beginning containing two hundred acres be the same 
more or less which Land Together with the appurtenances thereunto Belonging I 
warrant and defend against the Lawfull claim or claims of any person or 
persons whatsoever as witness my hand and Seal this 9th day of Feb. 1808.
